Immerse yourself in a weekend of creative culture.
A totally absorbing artform.
Experience the ethos of a mediaeval stone yard in which a small group works together with an experienced stone carver to create individual pieces.
Stone carving is one of the most ancient arts in the world and often considered to be the most interesting. Yet carving tools and materials are un complicated.
Many people lead hectic lives often totally disconnected to art and would have no idea how or where to start creating something themselves. By the end of the course, they will be able to walk away with their own 'masterpiece' and know enough to make more.
Madeline Goold is a professional artist of many years standing. She is also an experienced teacher, having taught drawing and sculpture in public workshops, at schools and at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
The two day courses are residential and numbers are limited. All tools, stone and equipment and comfortable accommodation and good food in the artist's home in the beautiful countryside of the Clent Hills are included in the cost.
Single day courses can be arranged.
